We received a request from a construction management company to help them determine an alternative to their current process of managing sub-contractors' bids and work on projects. After analysis of their current operations, we suggested that a secure web interface with a role-based architecture would be the best solution for them.

We developed and implemented a solution that allows their sub-contractors to submit bids on quotes using a document repository. Internal users can manage those bids, process new contractor applications, and setup new projects. After a project starts, the system tracks the status of all areas of the project and eases communication between all parties involved. The end-result tied into their existing web site (with a login on the front page).

This system gave them an edge over similar companies that aren't using the Internet as a communication and management tool.
